Pakistan Wins Hosting Rights for World Chefs Asia Presidents Forum 2026

Islamabad: Pakistan has won the hosting rights for the World Chefs Asia Presidents Forum 2026, marking the first time the country will host an international chefs’ conference of this scale.
According to Geo News, the announcement was made during the World Chefs Forum 2025 held in Suzhou, China, where Pakistan secured the hosting honor by defeating Malaysia in a close vote. Pakistan received 13 out of 21 votes, earning the right to host the prestigious culinary event.
The 2026 forum will be held in Islamabad and Lahore in October 2026, bringing together culinary leaders, chefs, and association presidents from across Asia.
Pakistan was represented by Ahmad Shafiq, Founder and President of the Chefs Association of Pakistan (CAP). He said that this achievement is a major success for Pakistan’s culinary industry, as it will promote international exposure and employment opportunities for Pakistani chefs.
Speaking to Geo News, Ahmad Shafiq said, “The decision in Pakistan’s favor is a great honor. Chefs and presidents from 21 Asian countries will visit Pakistan, which will strengthen our hospitality and culinary reputation globally.”
The World Chefs Asia Presidents Forum includes member countries such as China, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Maldives, the Philippines, and Nepal, among others.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he was warmly received by Saudi Minister of State for Interior, Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al-Batal, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farooq. This marks the beginning of a high-level diplomatic visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
In his meeting with Dr. Al-Batal, both leaders discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including enhancing cooperation in security, trade, and cultural exchanges. They also explored ways to further solidify the deep-rooted relationship between the two countries.
During the discussions, Minister Naqvi congratulated Saudi Arabia on being awarded the right to host the FIFA World Cup 2034. He expressed his sincere best wishes for the successful hosting of the event, which is expected to elevate the kingdom’s global stature.
